Nicole Kidman Slaps Hollywood for Violence Against Women

Nicole Kidman testified before a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on Wednesday saying that she feels Hollywood has probably contributed to violence against women. She said women are portrayed as weak sex objects in the movies, according to the Associated Press.


The actress does not sign on to play those sorts of demeaning roles, according to the AP, saying, "I can't be responsible for all of Hollywood, but I can certainly be responsible for my own career."

Kidman promoted the International Violence Against Women Act in her role as a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM). This legislation is being sponsored by Rep. Bill Delahunt, D-Mass who plans to reintroduce the legislation soon, since it has been stalled in the past.

Actress Kourtney Kardashian claims her “boobs got huge right away,” she told PEOPLE and says although she’s packed on 10 pounds so far, it’s still a “beautiful thing, that every woman who goes though,” so she’s good.

Kourtney Kardashian, who is expecting her first child around Christmas, has reportedly now moved in her baby’s father, boyfriend Scott Disick, and since has been photographed yet again, in new baby bump photos adding on to the list of previous possibly baby bump photos, as reported on HipHopRX

After news broke that celebrity and reality television star Kourtney Kardashian, most known from ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ and being the sister of Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian, was pregnant, everyone has been excited to know, who’s the daddy.

The news of the father is so hush right now that you’ll have to tune into her upcoming new show with her sister Khloe entitled “Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami,” which airs on E!. Kourtney Kardashian is even being hush hush about being hooked up with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, as reported on HipHopRX.com.

Meanwhile, Kourtney says she’s expected to have her baby around Christmas and also gets personal saying that she’s never missed a period in her life which is why she immediately suspected that she was pregnant in the first place. So, since she’s having the baby around Christmas that would make Kourtney Kardashian around 4 to 5 months pregnant.

Luella Bartley’s muse may spend more time on the club scene than the pony club these days, but there’s still a hint of girlie-flirtatiousness about her.

Bartley played with punk notions, oversized zips and a lot of hardware as decoration, including dungaree clips, dog-clips and D-rings.

There were nods to the standard issue airman’s sweater – in blue, with cotton patches – and to utility clothing, in bib-front pinafores, but the pinafore was in a gorgeous emerald silk faille and the sweater was worn with skinny, tailored, check trousers.

These are the kind of clothes adored by the likes of Alexa Chung and Peaches Geldof – feminine, but with tons of attitude: polka dot knit cardigans, buttoned-up with gold lame skirts; zipped tops with muted-spot tulle skirts; and sexy jodhpurs in grey, with a gathered, sack-waist, that flattered the legs like tights.

Gold tights and patent slingbacks with furry pom-poms were a glam throwaway. For party-time, Bartley’s Luella girl opted for brocade trousers with fake fur capes and little reticule-like bags, or else, more dressy ‘frocks’ in panels of black and semi-transparent cream, with a short-sleeved bodice and a full skirt.
